The plumbing and heating industry is always changing, with new products on the market, updates to regulations, and improved installation best practices. As a plumbing and heating professional it can be hard to keep up to date, particularly when you spend your days on the job. But making the time to attend industry events can help!

Events like shows, exhibitions, and conferences offer you the chance to see the latest product innovations up close, hear from experts across the industry, and speak to suppliers too.

So, what dates do you need to block out in your calendar for the year? Here’s four of the top plumbing and heating events to attend in 2023 (and one in 2024).

The Installer Show at the NEC, Birmingham

27-29th June 2023

The Installer Show is one of the biggest events in the plumbing and heating industry, with over 300 manufacturers coming together. As a plumbing and heating installer you’ll be able to see and interact with the latest products and technologies as well as attend live seminars and discussions from industry experts.

Last year’s show included talks like ‘Gas Safe Register Technical Update’ and ‘How to Design and Install Low-Temperature Heating Systems’ so it’s not an event to be missed!

PHEX at the Old Trafford Stadium, Manchester and Samford Bridge Stadium, Chelsea

2023 dates to be confirmed

Held at two unique venues, PHEX is the UK’s longest running plumbing and heating exhibition series. This year you can join in the action at either the Old Trafford Stadium or the Stamford Bridge Stadium. Wherever you go you can expect to find over 80 leading manufacturers and suppliers that are shaping the future of heating and plumbing. You can also save money with discounts on the tools and products you need day in and day out.

Attending PHEX in Manchester or Chelsea is a great way to stay up to date on the latest products and best practice with product demonstrations, seminars, and training on a whole host of topics.

KBB at the NEC, Birmingham

3-6th March 2024

Looking forward to next year, one event you should put in your calendars for 2024 is KBB Birmingham, where Europe’s leading kitchen, bedroom and bathroom brands come together under one roof. With over 200 suppliers from across 20 countries, it’s the perfect place to source products for your upcoming projects as well as explore the latest design trends and learn from experts across the industry.

Women Installers Conference at the London Metropolitan University

4th July 2023

A one day, and one of a kind event, the Women Installers Conference has plenty to offer! It’s a structured day with professional speakers and roundtable discussion on topics that have been identified as important to tradeswomen. Topics include equality, cost of training and a lack of fit for purpose women’s workwear. The day is also a chance for tradeswomen to meet and talk with their peers from across the country.
