Reliance Valves' new Anti-Legionella Valves ensure enhanced safety and efficiency

New anti-legionella valves from Reliance Valves

Reliance Valves is thrilled to introduce a new range of Anti-Legionella Valves. Designed to be used with a broader spectrum of cold water storage systems, these valves provide a robust defence against the harmful growth of Legionella bacteria, while ensuring quick and hassle-free installation and maintenance.

Ensuring the health and safety of building occupants is paramount, and the new Anti-Legionella Valves play a crucial role in helping specifiers and installers achieve this. By maintaining water circulation and preventing stagnation, they effectively reduce the risk of Legionella contamination, which can lead to severe health issues such as Legionnaires' disease.

Specifiers and installers will appreciate the operational efficiency and peace of mind these valves bring. By converting a standard single connection expansion vessel into a ‘flow-through’ type, the Anti-Legionella Valve ensures that water remains in motion, preventing the conditions that allow bacteria to thrive. This is particularly crucial in settings like hospitals and care homes, where the health of vulnerable populations is paramount.

The new range of Anti-Legionella Valves is available in four sizes that cater to expansion vessels from 2 to 500 litres, making it versatile enough for various applications, from small commercial buildings to large healthcare facilities. The valves feature union connections to simplify installation, even in tight spaces, thus reducing labour time and cost. For added security, the larger valves come with tamperproof lockable handles, ensuring the integrity of the system.

Maintaining these valves is equally straightforward. Integrated ball valves and drain plugs facilitate easy servicing, ensuring long-term reliability and performance. Certified to WRAS and tested to DIN EN4807 standards, these valves are constructed from corrosion resistant DZR brass, promising durability and high quality.

We’ve designed these valves with the installer in mind, making them easy to fit and maintain, while also providing the highest level of protection against Legionella. This range is a testament to our commitment to innovation and quality in plumbing and heating solutions.
